Obituary of Carl Thomas Baker

Carl Thomas Baker, 69, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Carl was born April 12, 1948 in Fenton, Missouri. He was the son of James R. Baker and Pauline (Peters) Baker.

Carl served his country proudly for 30 years with the United States Navy. He was honored with the status of E-9 Master Chief Petty Officer. Upon retirement from the United States Navy, he began working in property management and he worked with several companies throughout the Lake area over the past 25 years. He was currently a beloved member of the staff at Property Management Professionals in Osage Beach, Missouri. His presence will be sorely missed by their staff and the communities that they manage.

Carl’s greatest joys were his cats, Feisty and Sheryl. He devoted most of his life to their care and well-being.

He is survived by his dear friend, Helen Mayo of Montreal, Missouri; his children, Gayle Baker and Jamie Baker; his sisters, Connie Mathis, Deborah Baker, Terry Baker, and Esperanza Pineda; several nieces and nephews; and three ex-wives.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved cat, Feisty.

Visitation is Monday, April 2, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Interment will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 with full military honors at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery, Bismarck, Missouri.
