Obituary of Barbara A. Painter

Barbara A. Painter, 64, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home in Lake Ozark.

 

Barbara was born February 12, 1954 in St. Joseph, Missouri.  She was the daughter of Donald and Kathryn (Alexander) Brown.

 

On July 19, 1974 in St. Joseph, Missouri, Barbara was united in marriage to William “Bill” Painter. They had shared over 43 loving years together as husband and wife.

 

Barbara is survived by her husband Bill;  son Chad Painter, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; step-son Todd Painter, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; granddaughter Kathryn Painter; brothers William Brown and wife Jean, of St. Joseph, Missouri and Larry Brown and wife Stacey, of St. Joseph, Missouri; along with several other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Kathryn Brown.

 

Barbara was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, and a caring mother and grandmother to her children and their families.  She was co-owner and operator of the family business, B&B Heating and Cooling.  Barbara was an active member of the lake community where she was a member of the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the Wilmore Lodge Foundation Board.   She loved art and especially enjoyed the Lake Area Arts.  Her greatest joy in life however was her family, especially the dedication she had for her granddaughter Kathryn.          

 

Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday April 7, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation at 12:30 p.m. prior to services at the church.
