Obituary of William Douglas Jay

William Douglas “Doug” Jay, age 61, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his home in Osage Beach.

Doug was born January 23, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the son of Everett and Carol (Moore) Jay.

Doug served his country proudly in the United States Marines.

On September 3, 1994 in Gretna, Nebraska, Doug was joined in marriage to Stacey Neuhaus. They shared over 23 years of marriage together at the time of his death.

Doug is survived by his wife Stacey ;  two sons, Justin Beckwith, of Council Bluffs Iowa, and Ian Jay, of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Kylene Jay, of Camdenton, Missouri;  his father, Everett Jay, of Holt's Summit, Missouri; one sister, Sueann Hemby and Husband William, of Puxico, Missouri; grandchildren, Ryka Herbert and Molly Beckwith; one niece Carolyn Otto of Jefferson City, Missouri; and one nephew, Jay Otto, of St. Georgia, Virginia.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jay.

A Celebration of Life  will be held Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri
