Obituary of Chester A. Brooks

Chester A. Brooks, age 75, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Chester was born April 9, 1942 in Davisville, Missouri.  He was the son of Dannie Amos and Mary Christina (Evans) Brooks.

On January 30, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, Chester was united in marriage to Dorothy Keller.  They had shared 55 loving years together as husband and wife at the time of his death.

Chester served his country proudly in the Unites States Air Force and later, had worked in construction for the better part of his life.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles and cooking.  Chester was an avid Cardinals Baseball fan and loved cheering for his Cardinals.

Chester is survived by his wife Dorothy; his sons Tony Brooks of St. Louis, Missouri and Jason Brooks and wife, Mellisa of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; his daughters Tina Brooks of St. Louis, Missouri, Gina Malik of Fenton, Missouri, Gayle Brooks-Diaz of Camdenton, Missouri and Jadda Hall and husband, Brandon, of Camdenton, Missouri; his brothers Samuel Brooks of Steelville, Missouri and LeRoy Joe Brooks of St. Charles, Missouri; his sisters Rita Mahurin of West Plains, Missouri and Ruth Ann Dorseif and husband, Milton, of Arnold, Missouri; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents Dannie and Mary Brooks; his brothers Charles Thomas Brooks and Dannie Dale Brooks; and his sister Christina Doris Coleman.

Services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from11:00-1:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.
