Obituary of Paul Dean Reed

Paul Dean Reed, age 82, of Lebanon, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the comfort of his home.

Paul was born May 10, 1935 in Newton, Kansas to Harry Franklin and Ruby Minnie (Maw) Reed.

He was first united in marriage to Virginia Grace McCormick, June 25, 1953. To this union was born four children, Jerry Dean Reed, Paul Eugene Reed, Virginia Jeanett Reed and Bradley Franklin Reed.

He was second united in marriage to Mary Faye Finney, July 3, 1974. To this union was born two children, Dana Marie Mitchell and John Paul Reed.

Paul began employment at Rice Sticks at age of seventeen, and then later retired from the H.D. Lee Company. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and sharing plenty of fishing, gigging, and hunting stories. Paull’s favorite hobbies were yard sales and scrapping. He loved going on back road drives with his children, talking about old times and neighbors.

His last days were at home, peaceful and surrounded by family, just the way he had wanted.

Paul is survived by his four sons and one daughter; Jerry D. Reed and wife Jan of Sedalia, Missouri, Paul E. Reed of Moffit, North Dakota, Bradley F. Reed and wife Joleen of Lebanon, Missouri, Dana M. Mitchell and husband Darren of Lebanon, Missouri, and John P. Reed of Lebanon, Missouri; also, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruby Reed, his sister Beulah E. Reeves and daughter Virginia Jeanett Reed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Pentecostal Ministries, 15916 Hwy 64, Lebanon, Missouri.
