E.Duncan Ketchum

Obituary of E.Duncan Ketchum

E. Duncan Ketchum passed away on April 17, 2018 in Camdenton Mo.  On this day he was greeted by our Heavenly Father and welcomed into his eternal reward. He was born to Edward and Margaret Duncan Ketchum on October 14, 1932 in Nogales, Arizona. He graduated in 1950 from Grossmont High School in San Diego. He married Rosa Renshaw on February 17, 1972 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Their son Tim was welcomed in 1973.

In life Duncan would say he was first a follower of Jesus and proclaim His saving Grace and Love to any who would listen.  After that, Duncan would quickly tell you about his grandchildren who were a source of great pride for him.  Duncan was a simple man of great conviction, sharing the love of Jesus with all whom he encountered.  He lived his words with actions serving as a missionary for over 50 years.  He served in Belize, Guatemala, Virgin Islands, Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico. He and Rosa’s ministry was focused on distributing Bibles to those who would not have the opportunity to own one, feeding those less fortunate as well as interpreting for countless speakers across the Central America and Mexico.  Duncan's spirited personality allowed him to be someone you would not soon forget.  Whether it was working in a village to build a church, in his home church, or the chance encounter at a coffee shop he was ready to make a new friend.

He is survived by Rosa Ketchum his loving wife of 46 years of Camdenton, Mo.  His son Timothy Ketchum of Linn Creek, MO and wife Carrin Ketchum and grandchildren Sarah and Logan Ketchum also of Linn Creek, MO.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Ketchum of Dragoon AZ.

Duncan would say his passing is a "graduation"; He has finished the race and won. He will be greatly missed; his enthusiastic greetings, his tenacious desire to serve and love for his family can not be replaced.  We love you and will be reunited one day.
