“Goodbye my friend. Love ya Dawg.” It just seems too soon to say this. I’m not going to say you will fully get over the feeling of loss. I know from experience that you won’t, but it will get better. You will hear something or see something that instantly reminds you of Chet. In those moments you will realize how much richer your life is because of the years spent with him. You will realize that at some level Chet is still with you. You are in my prayers.

I worked with Chet. His sharp wit and wisdom were an almost daily part of my life for 17 years. He was a good man with a big heart. He was always there when someone needed a helping hand. He was quick to laugh and even quicker with a kind word. He was such a wonderfully unique human being; I know I’ll never meet anyone like Chet again. It was a privilege to work with him and to have the opportunity to get to know him. He will always hold a very special place in my memories.

I knew Chet through work. He worked in our Burlington offices while I worked in the Galesburg, Illinois offices. ALthough I didn't see or talk to him often, I knew he was dedicated and passionate about whatever he did. It saddens me to hear of his passing. But it is a glorious day in the Lord. He is now home with Jesus. He will be missed but we shall see him again!

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death.
