Obituary of Robert (Bob) Lee Riggins

Robert (Bob) Lee Riggins, 77, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family and friends, after battling cancer.

Bob was born near Lebanon in Eldridge, Missouri at his parents' home on September 16, 1940. 

Bob was married to Judy Riggins (Willis) on August 25, 1962; they were married for 49 years.

Bob worked as a carpenter for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching movies, and watching sports.

Bob is survived by his two children, Shelly Lewis and Nicki Halderman and her husband Kevin Halderman; Bob’s 2 grandchildren Christy Schaefer and Allison Halderman; his sister Norma Bollan, his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife Judy Riggins and his parents, James Riggins and Dortha Riggins; as well as his brother, James Riggins.

The family of Bob Riggins wishes to thank Sherrie Arnett, and the Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care as well as Pleasant Grove Church.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Thursday, May 24, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 25, at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
