John Bacigalupo

Obituary of John T. Bacigalupo

John T. Bacigalupo passed away peacefully in his home in Osage Beach, Missouri on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 9, 1938 to Joseph and Mary (Roddy) Bacigalupo.

John served his country proudly in Alaska in the United States Army. He graduated later from the University of Missouri. After many years with Teamsters Local 688, John retired in 2000 to build his dream home on the shores of Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Missouri. John and his wife Kate loved to share their beautiful views with family and friends. He could often be heard shouting “I’m the luckiest man on Earth!” as he drove his boat full throttle with Alabama blasting “Play me some Mountain Music” on the stereo. John loved life. His sense of humor and kind caring soul touched so many. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 38 years, Katherine; his sister Mary Joy (Neil) Sellenriek and brother Michael Bacigalupo of St. Louis, Missouri; step-daughter Jennifer Allen of Michigan; granddaughter Jessie (Edward) Coleman of Florida and their children Matthew John and Jeffrey Willian; his niece Sally Sellenriek and nephews Brad (Anne) and Drew (Sheila) Sellenriek and their children.

John was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister in law, Joseph and Anne Bacigalupo; and his much-loved puppies, Billy, Charley, Suzie, Buddy and Lucy.
