Obituary of Larry P. Matthews

Larry P. Matthews, age 66, of Tuscumbia, Missouri passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home in Tuscumbia.

Larry was born January 2, 1952 in Tuscumbia, Missouri. He was the son of Oliver and Marie (Gullians) Matthews.

On January 29, 1970 Larry was united in marriage to Marcia Fisher in Jefferson City, Missouri. Together they had shared 48 wonderful years of marriage together.

Larry served with the Eldon Police Department for 10 years and with the Miller County Sheriff Department for 7 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle as often as he could.  More than anything, Larry’s greatest joy in life was his family.

Larry is survived by his wife Marcia of the home; his son Larry Micah Matthews of Tuscumbia, Missouri; his daughters Marcia Marie Robinette and husband, Kevin, of Eldon, Missouri and Wendy Lucas and husband, Pat, of Tuscumbia, Missouri; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Marie Matthews; and his sister Mildred Henson.
