Obituary of Donald F. Moulder
Donald F. Moulder, age 87, of Roach, Missouri, departed this life Friday, June 22, 2018 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Donald was born October 10, 1930 in Roach, Missouri. He was the son of Howard V. and Lillie (DeGraffenreid) Moulder.
On December 27, 1949 in Branch, Missouri, he married Edith Adolene Simmons and to this union, four children were born; Lillie Evadene , Susan Kay, Donnie Rex and Danny Ray.
Donald worked in Kansas City, Missouri as an installation and service technician for a gas service company. He was a Union member who had paid his dues for nearly 50 years. Donald retired on disability in 1973 after 25 years of service. After moving back home to the lake area, Donald enjoyed gardening and haying his fields. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and he passed on this passion to his boys, as they started hunting at the young age of eight years old. In recent years, Donald enjoyed meeting with his friends for coffee and conversation at The Quiet Side Gas Station in Roach. They un-officially dubbed themselves "The Quiet Side Club".
Donald was a member of First Baptist Church in Macks Creek, Missouri. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. He will be missed sorely by all who knew and loved him.
Donald is survived by his wife of over 68 years, Edith; his children, Lillie Evadene Wolfe, Susan Kay Seaton, Donnie Rex Moulder and Danny Ray Moulder; seven grandchildren, Josh Moulder, Kristen Finch, Darron Moulder, Dereck Moulder, Boyd Young III, Katheren Wolfe, and Robert Seaton; eighteen great-grandchildren; his brothers Earl Moulder, Jimmie Moulder and Jackie Moulder; his sister Wanita Cowen; along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Lillie Moulder; his brother L.Z. Moulder; his sons-in-law Boyd Young, Jr and Clifford Seaton; and his daughter-in-law Susan Lynn Moulder.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.
Services will be Monday, June 25 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Hopewell Cemetery.
