Obituary of Steven Jay Brindle
Steven Jay Brindle, 71, of Linn Creek, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.
Steven was born January 12, 1947 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the son of Gayous and Helen (Schotemeyer) Brindle.
On August 15, 1970 in Castro Valley, California Steven married Karen Pooler. They were happily married for almost 48 years. Steven was a loving and devoted husband, and a wonderfully caring father, grandfather.
Steven served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked as a programmer and manager for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. Steven’s hobbies included travel, boating, spending time with friends and being a St. Louis Cardinal’s fan. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach, Missouri. His favorite times were with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and his two grandsons.
Steven is survived by his wife Karen of the home; son, Damian Brindle and wife Melanie, of Poulsbo, Washington; mother, Helen Wilson, of Union City, California; sister, Vicki Souza and husband Mike, of Union City, California and grandsons, Dylan and Alex; along with several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-dad Tom Wilson.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
