Obituary of James Rogers

James Rogers of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the ae of 64, after a long battle with a rare form of leukemia.

James was born May 1, 1954 in Eldridge, Missouri, a son of Joe and Lois (Nations) Rogers.

James graduated from Macks Creek High School.  He worked as a cook around the lake area for several restaurants, including J Bruners, where he worked for over 10 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved nothing more than being outside hunting, fishing or doing yard work.  James loved his family, his kids and grandchildren.  He was a hard worker; a man of faith and always a man of his word.  He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

James is survived by his daughter Adria Dawn Rogers of Springfield, Missouri; his son Austin Joel Rogers of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandsons, Bentley Cole Page, Terrence Connor Killingsworth and Jameson Beau Rogers; one granddaughter, Kelise Marie Sellers; two brothers, Bob Rogers and wife, Carolyn,  of Buckner, Missouri and Roy Rogers of Camdenton, Missouri; three sisters, Maryanne Humphrey of Independence, Missouri, Lucille Rogers of Camdenton, Missouri and Joyce Burgess of Iberia, Missouri; two nephews, Kirk Rogers and Rob Rogers; three nieces, Melanie Rogers, Natalie Shipman and Tammy Duryea; along with many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lois Rogers and his father Joe Rogers.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00-3:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.
