Obituary of Billie Spruill Dittmer

Billie Spruill Dittmer, age 83, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in Hospice Care.

Billie was born on December 19, 1935 in Aurora, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Leonard Alston and Elizabeth (Peele) Spruill.

On April 11, 1968 she was united in marriage to Bill Dittmer, who preceded her in death on March 26, 2011.

Billie worked over 30 years in the public-school system and retired from Lincoln Public Schools. After her retirement, they moved to Camdenton, Missouri, where they enjoyed living at the lake. Billie was often described as a “force of nature”, who was passionate about every aspect of life.

She is survived by her two sisters, Betty MacLean (Jerry) of Salisbury, North Carolina and Judy Hudnill (John) of Aurora, North Carolina.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Leonard and Elizabeth Spruill, and two step sons, Dana and Brian Dittmer.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.
