Obituary of Barbara Jean Oestmann

Barbara Jean Oestmann, 74, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Barbara was born December 12, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Cecil and Willodeen (Hilbrant) Ward.

On May 26, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois Barbara married Richard Oestmann. They had shared over fifty-six loving years together at the time of her death.

Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, and a wonderful caring mother and grandmother to her children and their families. She loved playing the piano, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed by all.

Barbara is survived by her husband Richard;  her sons, Rick Oestmann and wife Annika of Los Angeles, California; and Jason Oestmann, of Lake Ozark, Missouri and four grandchildren Alex, Tyler, Jacob, and Eric. She is also survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Ward and Dorian Vandagriff; along with many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Willodeen Ward; her son, Russell Oestmann; and her brother, Ralph Ward.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
