Obituary of Ronald D. Shelton

Ronald “Ron” D. Shelton, age 59, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his home in Camdenton.

Ron was born November 18, 1958 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He was the son of Loren Ray and Connie Lou (Lesom) Richey.

Ron served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1977 through 1983 and served 2 tours of duty to Korea.

On May 7, 1988 he was married to Yvonne Mitchell and together they shared over 30 years as husband and wife.

Ron was a painter and sheetrock man for 24 years. He loved working with wood in his shop which he built for himself. Ron especially enjoyed working in his yard and spending time outdoors. He was a kind man and always went out of his way to help others.

Ron is survived by his wife Yvonne; his son, Robert Mitchell;  his daughters, Shelly Nourse and Tammy Lou (Shelton) Peterson; his step daughter, Sharon Bedsole; his grandchildren Katie Nourse, Max Nourse, Rena Bedsole and Meagan Hudephol; and his great-grandchildren, Braylen and Sarena Ann.  Ron is also survived by his step-mother Shirley Shelton; his brothers, Randy Shelton, Jerry Shelton, Rick Sloan, and Rodney Sloan; his sister Debbra Mullikin; his step-sister Lisa Oidtman and husband, Kurt; his sisters-in-law, Nora Shelton and Lisa Shelton; his nephews Jeff Shelton and Jason Shelton; and his niece Missy Shelton; along with other relatives and many friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Loren Shelton and Connie Richey; and his step-daughter Sarena Bedsole.
