Obituary of Christopher J. Thompson
Christopher J. Thompson, 54, passed away on August 5, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born on April 20, 1964 in DeKalb, Illinois, to Muriel Jane and Michael Lee Thompson.
Chris was always active growing up. He was a body-builder and a world-class water skier. He has always been an avid fisherman. Chris was a master carpenter by trade.
He is preceded in death by his father; and his sister Jennifer Keen has since passed away.
Chris is survived by his mother; siblings, Michael (Molly) Thompson, Dennis (Elaine) Thompson, Tim (Dana) Thompson, Becky Estenssoro, Nancy (David) Moline, nieces and nephews: Gordon, Ross (Cecily), Brandon, Shane, Christopher, Audra, Matthew, Jacob (Samantha), Kathryn, Clint, and Sean.
The family will have a memorial service at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Camdenton, Missouri on Saturday, August 25 at 10am.
Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri will be handling arrangements.
Inurnment will be at Hedges Cemetery in Camdenton.
The Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton, FL, where Chris had resided for the past twenty years, arranged a small memorial service for his friends and neighbors to pay their respects.
His friend gave this tribute: “Such a nice person. Always helpful. Never mean. I admired him and will miss him terribly.”
