Obituary of Kathleen Mary Carpenter

Kathleen Mary Carpenter, age 88, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at her home in Sunrise Beach.

 

Kathleen was born December 3, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York.  She was the daughter of Francis and Florence (Wilkinson) Burke. 

 

On July 3, 1979, Kathleen married Clinton Howard Carpenter who preceded her in death February 18, 2013.

 

Kathleen  worked at many restaurants throughout her lifetime.  In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and spending time outdoors working in her yard. She enjoyed spending time with her “lake family”, but more than anything, she adored her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them.

 

Kathleen is survived by her sons Robert Zago of Kansas City, Missouri and Richard Zago and wife, Stephanie, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; her daughters Lori Costabile and husband, Ralph, of Lawrence, Kansas and Kathleen O'Roark and husband, Mitchell, of Kansas City, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Florence Burke; her husband, Clinton Carpenter; her daughter Debra Zago; her son Thomas Zago; her brother Donald Burke; and two grandchildren, Marissa Zago and Ryan Keen.

 

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Hedges Cemetery, Camdenton, Missouri.
