Obituary of Beverly "Anne" Lovett Bradfield
On Sunday morning, September 16, 2018, heaven gained one of earth's most precious, kindest soles. Beverly “Anne” Lovett Bradfield passed away at the age of 81 peacefully in her home in Osage Beach, MO, overlooking her favorite view of the Lake of the Ozarks from her balcony glass doors.
As her soul ascended to heaven to meet up with her beloved friends and family who succeeded her through the pearly gates, she was surrounded by her two daughters, Mary Anne Bradfield (Alexandria, VA) and Georgeanna Aldy, and son-in-law, Jeff Aldy (Osage Beach).
Born in Altus, Oklahoma, to J.D. and Ethel (nee Crider) Lovett, Anne made many lifelong friends as she grew up and graduated from Altus High School in the class of 1955. After marrying George M. Bradfield, Anne transferred to Norman, OK, where she raised their two daughters and continued to build a strong network of friends. Many of her daughters’ friends over the years came to think of Anne as their beloved second Mom, and she cared equally about them, celebrating their joys, listening to their trials and tribulations, and offering them her wisdom when it was sought.
In the early 1980s, Anne transferred to St. Louis, Missouri with AT&T where she continued to work until she took early retirement after 31 years on December 31, 1990. She continued to grow her circle of dear friends who loved and cared about her deeply. She always welcomed them with open arms, and there was no time better spent than an evening on her deck or in her home chatting and laughing.
An energetic, capable and reliable professional, Anne was quickly snatched-up by Anheuser-Busch International until retiring for the second time about 2009. In 2015, Anne moved to Osage Beach to be closer to her youngest daughter and her husband where she loved her view of the Lake of the Ozarks and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority in both Norman, OK and Osage Beach, MO where she lived daily seeking only the good, only the true and only the beautiful.
Anne made her family and friends her top priority. They loved her in return and sought her company. Anne is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne Bradfield and Georgeanna “Georgie” Bradfield Aldy as well as her son-in-law Jeff Aldy, and her former husband, George Bradfield of Norman, OK. Also surviving her are her cousins: Mack Ashley (Jackie) of Gulf Breeze, FL.; Lea Ann Ashley of Moore, OK; Susan Moser (Dan) of Oklahoma City, OK; Morris Lovett (Terry) of Washington, OK; Paula McAlister (Jerry) of Moore, OK; Vickie Panza (Mike) of San Antonio, TX; Joe Collier of San Antonio, TX; Donnie and Bev Pitts of St. Louis, MO; Linda and Mike Sheridan of New Braunfels, TX. Nieces and nephews, too numerous to list, have also been left behind to continue to her work of spreading love and affection on earth. Those who have went ahead to prepare for the reunion party include her parents, her sister Shirley Lovett Parrish, aunts and uncles on both sides of her family, cousin Hal Lovett, Jack Crider, Rosa Dawn (Dawnie) Crider Hillary and friends she has not seen in some time.
Celebration of life memorials will be held in Osage Beach, MO on September 30, St. Louis, MO the weekend of October 12 and Norman, OK October 28, 2018 with details to be announced. Anne will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Cemetery Memory Garden for those who wish to continue to visit her after the memorials. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Helping Hands, P.O. Box 1141, Camdenton, MO 65020 or Dentists for the Disabled and Elderly (D-Dent) 3000 United Founders Blvd., Suite 122, OKC, OK 73112.
