Obituary of James William Hixson

James William “Sonny” Hixson, age 54, of Rocky Mount, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Sonny was born November 5, 1963 in Alhambra, California.  He was the son of James W. and Rachael (Allee) Hixson.

Sonny grew up in Versailles, Missouri and graduated from Morgan County RII High School with the class of 1982.  He went on to graduate from William Woods College and to serve his country proudly in the US Navy.  In recent years, Sonny was an IT specialist employed with the Camdenton School District.   Sonny enjoyed many hobbies and interests including scuba diving, farming and hunting.  His greatest joy in life above all, was his family.

Sonny is survived by his wife Shing Wei Hixson; his son Gabriel Matthew Hixson of Osage Beach, Missouri; and his daughter Hunter Rachaelle Hixson of Osage Beach, Missouri. He is also survived by his sisters Katherine Connelly and husband, Bob, of Riverton, Wyoming and Stephanie Roeder of Rocky Mount, Missouri; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents James and Rachael Hixson; and one sister Marion Sidebottom.
