Obituary of Rose Mary Murray
Rose Mary Murray (Crowley), 94, passed away on October 14, 2018, at her home in Camdenton, Missouri. Rose Mary was born on May 15, 1924, to the late William and Frances Crowley (Brown) in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the oldest of four children, two preceded her in death. She attended Catholic schools, graduating from Bishop Ward High School in 1942.
Rose Mary was united in marriage to John Thomas (Tom) Murray on February 7, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas. Together they raised seven children and owned/managed several businesses, including Murray Pharmacy in Tonganoxie, KS. Throughout her life, Rose Mary was a woman of great faith and actively participated in the Saint Joseph (Leavenworth, KS), Sacred Heart (Tonganoxie, KS) and Saint Anthony (Camdenton, MO) parishes. Her husband Tom preceded her in death, along with their son James William (Bill) Murray.
Rose Mary leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Judy Murray, John Thomas Murray (Mitsuko), Michael Murray, Greg Murray of Lawrence, Kansas, Alan Murray and Chris Murray (Steve Evans) of Dallas, Texas; her brother Tom Crowley and wife Carol, seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Rose Mary was the embodiment of beauty, grace, and devotion. Tremendous faith and love for family were the cornerstones of her life. She will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.(noon) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1100 West Street, Tonganoxie, Kansas, 66086. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Tonganoxie, Kansas.
