Obituary of Leroy Joseph Fisher

Leroy Joseph Fisher, age 65, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home.

Leroy was born on June 23, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Eldon and Doris (Bastean) Elledge.

On June 24, 1972, Leroy was united in marriage to Dorothy Hartley in Elston, Missouri. They shared 39 years of marriage together at the time of her death in 2011.

He was brought into the Fisher family in 1960 when Doris married Paul Fisher.

Leroy worked for many years as a roofer in the construction industry. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time outdoors. Leroy also enjoyed a good Bar-B-Que, antique cars and the old country music hits. The greatest joy in his life was spending time with his family and closest friends.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Fisher and wife Chrissy, Bryan Fisher and Christopher Miller, all of Jefferson City, Missouri: his daughter Dorothy Jo Garrison and husband Steve of Jefferson City, Missouri; four sisters, Cindy Ojeda, Marcia Matthews, Paula Massman and husband Charles, Mary Rains and husband Norman, all of Jefferson City, Missouri; and six brothers, Lee Elledge, Greg Elledge and Todd Elledge, all of Quincy, Illinois and James Fisher, Kenny Fisher and wife Martha, David Fisher and wife Tracy, all of Jefferson City, Missouri.

Leroy was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, parents Eldon Elledge and Paul and Doris Fisher and sister Doris Fry.

The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Osage Beach, Missouri. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. following visitation at Hickory Hill Cemetery, Eugene, Missouri.
