Obituary of Elizabeth Eva Wood

Elizabeth Eva Wood, age 68, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at her home in Macks Creek.

Elizabeth was born June 22, 1950 in Sopot, Poland.  In 1959, she was adopted by Walter and Anna (Rodrigues) Bruzdzinski.  She lived with her family in New Orleans for many years, then moved to Slidell, Louisiana, where she met the love of her life, Chuck Wood.  They were happily married for 30 years.

Elizabeth enjoyed crafts of all kinds and sewing.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed tending to her gardens.  Her greatest joy in life by far, was her family and she especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Wood, of the home; her daughters, Stephanie Brown and husband James Brown, Jr of Arcadia, Kansas and Tammy Thomas of Linn Creek, Missouri; her grandchildren, Heather Wyrick and husband Brian, James Brown III, Nicholas Thomas and wife Errika, Dustin Thomas, Jasmine Courtney and Hunter Courtney; and her great-grandchildren, Cainen McCollom, Peyson Thomas and DJ Thomas. Also surviving are her sister Mary Lawson; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Anna Bruzdzinski; and her son Walter Lee Alphonso.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.  Services will be Thursday, November 15, at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Macks Creek Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to Dogwood Animal Shelter in Osage Beach, Missouri.
