Obituary of Beulah Mae Fry

Beulah Mae Fry, age 84 of Republic, Missouri, formerly of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Springfield Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Springfield, Missouri.

Beulah was born May 25, 1934 in Eldon, Missouri. She was the daughter of William and Roxie (Sidebottom) Burris.

On July 19, 1950, in Long Lane, Missouri, Beulah was married to Jewell Fry who preceded her in death May 7, 1999.  They had shared over 48 years of marriage together at the time of Jewell’s death.

Beulah and Jewell owned and operated Fry’s Bait and Tackle Shop in Osage Beach, Missouri for 30 years.   When she wasn’t busy helping at the shop, she enjoyed reading and making beautiful crochet pieces, which were many.  She also loved spending time outdoors fishing and tending to her gardens as well as bowling with her friends.   Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family and she dearly loved spending time with them. Prior to moving to Republic, Beulah attended Riverview Baptist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. 

Beulah is survived by her daughters, Sharon Rose and husband, Richard, of Liberty, Missouri and Karon Pitts and husband, David, of Republic Missouri; her son Michael Fry and wife, Janet, of Linn Creek, Missouri; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents William and Roxie Burris; her husband, Jewell Fry;  her brother Otis Burris;  and one sister Genevieve Nibert.

Services will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.

The family will welcome friends for visitation from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow services at Greenmore Cemetery, in Eldon, Missouri.
