Obituary of Billy K. Wood

Billy K. Wood, age 79, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Macks Creek, Missouri,  passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Seasons Health Care in Kansas City.

Billy was born December 29, 1938 in Macks Creek, Missouri.  He was the son of Lester and Stella (Willis) Wood.

On March 14, 1964 in Macks Creek, Missouri, Billy was married to Hazel Byler and together they shared over 54 years of marriage. 

Billy worked for Dr. Ridgeway, a beloved doctor in Macks Creek, for over 30 years as a lab and x-ray tech.   He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing in his spare time. 

Billy is survived by his loving wife.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Stella Wood; his sons Brad Wood and Bryan Wood; and his brother Bobby Lee Wood.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Macks Creek Cemetery, Macks Creek, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
