Obituary of Richard L. Daly

Richard L Daly, age 82, of Four Seasons, Missouri, formerly of Town and Country, and Collinsville, Illinois,  passed away January 06, 2019.  

 

Richard served his country proudly in the United States Army. He graduated from Assumption High School, Southwest Illinois College and continued his education at St Louis University.  Richard was involved in real estate ownership and management.  He was also an independent insurance adjuster.

 

Richard is survived by his wife of just shy of 47 years, Marilyn (Spiess) Daly of Four Seasons, Missouri, his two daughters Alison Daly of Four Seasons and Ashley (Daly) Murphy of Leawood, Kansas, son-in-law Tim Murphy, and grandchildren Michael, Lauryn, Brennan, and Jamison Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Michael B Daly and Myrtle W Daly, brothers Donald M Daly, Ronald J Daly, and sister Marilyn Daly Germann.

 

He has served on many community organization boards, serving as President of Greater St Louis Claims Association, President of Southwest Illinois Claims Association, President Blue Goose International, St Louis Chapter, President Collinsville Jaycees, President Collinsville Rotary Club. He also served on the Board of the St Louis Arc and Rainbow Village for a number of years.  He also, as Registered Professional Adjuster, served on the board of National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators, St Louis Chapter.  He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Thousand Man West Carmelites and the Pink Sisters.  He was also a volunteer at Lake Regional Health System.

Richard has donated his body to St Louis University School of Medicine.

 

A Mass of Memorial Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Ozark, Missouri.
