Obituary of Stephen Eugene Billington

Stephen Eugene “Steve” Billington, age 58, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away December 26, 2018 in Largo, Florida.

Steve was born July 27, 1960 in St Louis, Missouri.  He was the son of Harold and Marian Billington.

Steve professed his faith in God early in life and knew the importance of placing God first.  He grew up in the St Louis area and attended Ritenour High School, graduating with the class of 1978.  He became a skilled machinist while employed at Watlow in St Louis.  In 1990, he moved to the Lake Ozark area and along with his parents, operated Billington General Store on Y road.  Then, Steve owned and operated Magnum Propeller Service from 1992 until the time of his passing.  He was very successful at propeller repair and loved his work.  He has repaired many propellers for the Lake Ozark area and had recently expanded to the St Petersburg, Florida area.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Harold Billington and a brother John Billington.  He is survived by a son, John, of Louisiana, Missouri, his mother Marian Billington and a sister Shari Billington, both of Naples, Florida, his fiancé, Etta Dotson of Lebanon, Missouri, and many friends and relatives.

Steve had an undeniable zest for life and his glass was always half full! He enjoyed driving a motor home for several years, and particularly enjoyed a trip to Key West with his friend of over 30 years, Garry Niven!  He enjoyed staying fit by hiking and going to the gym.  Along with Etta, he loved road trips, concerts, walking on the beach, and beautiful sunsets!
