I look at the first picture of the house mu Uncle Tom and Dad Grew up. Its the only house in view and the rest prarie like Little House on The Prairie. My Uncle Tom and Aunt Judy ( Godmother too) were so giving, generous and loving towards me. It was sad when they moved from Illinois, I remember growing up knowing one day they would be moving and that day came way too fast. Before my Dad passed they spoke everyday and on Sundays my Dad would call him, place the phone against the radio so my Uncle could listen to the Bears game and he couldn't get them out there. After my Dad passed, I tried to call once a month and I would talk his ear off. I think he would want to get off the phone to stop answering all my questions as despite his age his was still as sharp and quick talking with me as he was my whole life. Many times if I was making something, putting something together I would always call about different chemicals and things I should use to paint a certain metal or wood, how to prep it right.
Every time we talked, he would always be asking if my kids needed anything for their new houses, make sure to tell them not to buy some stuff and he would send boxes of stuff and so many times out of the blue he shipped me cool collectible stuff that he never mentioned before he had. Still shocked to think my Aunt and Uncle are no longer here....no more of my Aunt Judy's cookies made just for me at Christmas time, no more hear the stories of he and my dad as boys and hearing about my grandparents when they were young. I was so lucky to have him this long, now he is back with his Mom N Dad , my aunt who I could feel the love from her hugs, my Dad......as My Dad always said..He and his brother know everything, but you cant ask when they were together, so if one didn't know they would tell me to ask his brother...lol Now everything there is to know is in heaven...or the internet
