Shawn Wesley Libby was born on March 17, 1968 in Sedalia, Missouri to Janet Ann Libby and Keith Kirby.  He was adopted and raised by Wes & Chapell Libby.

He leaves behind a wife and three children whom he loved with all his heart - Mary Libby, Linn Creek, Missouri, Christian (Kerrington) Libby - Linn Creek, Missouri, Derek Libby (Katherine Kempf) – Kansas City, Kansas, and Chelsi Libby (Travis Miller) – St. Charles, Missouri. Three Grandchildren – Hayleigh, ViviAnne & Tyler Libby – Linn Creek, Missouri.  A sister – Kim Howard – Aurora, Colorado.  Two nieces & a nephew – Sassha Howard, Paige Howard & Tristan Howard.  His Grandmother – Ann Stewart – Springfield, Missouri, and two Aunts – Kate (Greg) Griesemer – and Robin (Toby) Felton.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Wes & Chapell Libby, and his mother Janet Libby and his father Keith Kirby.

He worked as an EMT at the Lake of the Ozarks Ambulance and for several years at Summerset Boat Lifts in Osage Beach, Missouri.  He then stayed home to care for his mother, Chapell Libby, who lived with his family until she passed at the age of 100.

Shawn loved the outdoors and especially loved deer hunting with his family and friends.   He loved watching football and Nascar.  His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, LSU Tigers, MO Western Griffons and the Camdenton Lakers.  He loved history, the Lake of the Ozarks and loved to watch old war movies. Shawn was the family Trivial Pursuit champion.

Shawn loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart.  He was very proud of all of them and loved to spend time with them.  Shawn especially loved the times he spent with them hunting, riding four-wheelers, fishing and watching them play sports.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, especially his hilarious one-liners and quick wit. His advice, knowledge and deep love that he passed on to his children will live on in their hearts forever.
