Obituary of Marjorie Ann Hanson

Marjorie Ann Hanson, age 81, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Marjorie was born May 7, 1937 in Duluth, Minnesota.   She was the daughter of Ada  Fobester.   

On August 16, 1974, Marjorie was married to Allan Hanson.  They shared over 44 years of marriage together at the time of her death.

Marjorie grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota / Duluth with a degree in accounting.  She worked as an accountant all of her working career before retiring.  Throughout her professional life, she served as past President of American Association of University Women (AAUW) and was an active member of the League of Women Voters organization.  More recently, she  enjoyed being active with the Newcomers/ Longtimers Club in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Allan; one daughter, Melinda Madden of Los Angeles, California; and three grandchildren, Christopher Madden, Drew Madden and Darren Madden, all of Duluth, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Carolyn Beadle.

A Celebration of Marjorie's life will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Senior Activity Center at the Lake, 748 Hwy D, Osage Beach, Missouri.
