Obituary of Stephanie Sue Morris

Stephanie Sue (Wright) Morris, age 48, of Waynesville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at her home in Waynesville.

Stephanie was born July 2, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Jimmy Dale and Judith (Peters) Wright.

On July 21, 2013 in Bedford, Iowa, she was married to Richard Morris.  They had shared over 5 years together as husband and wife at the time of her death.

Stephanie worked as a CNA and also greatly enjoyed being a homemaker.  She was the life of the party, always making everyone laugh and loved having a good time.  She loved wrestling, animals, camping, flowers, and shopping and was an avid Chief’s fan.   Her family, especially her grandchildren meant everything to her.

One of the family’s fondest memories of Stephanie will be the nickname(s) “Squirrel” and “Dory”, given to her, as she was quick to change from one subject to another (Squirrel), and for her inability to remember things (Dory).

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Richard of the home; her sons Joshua Sweat and Timothy Sweat, both of Waynesville, Missouri; her daughters, Julie Sweat of Hannibal, Missouri and Tiffany Stapleton and husband, Joshua, of Waynesville, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Derick, Hailey, Caidyn, Lillian, Braxton, Angel, and Jaden.  She is also survived by her mother Judith Barnes and husband, Raymond, of Camdenton, Missouri; her brothers, Allen Wright of Eldridge, Missouri, Eric Martin, of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Nathan Wright of Camdenton, Missouri; her sisters, Loretta Fogal and husband, Ronald, of Camdenton, Missouri, Brenda Hunter and husband, Ronnie, of Camdenton, Missouri, Marie Terry and husband, David, of Hugo, Missouri,  Amber Downing and husband, Earl, of Camdenton, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her father, and her sister Lori McGuire.
