Obituary of Bernard Wade Johnson

It is with a sad heart we say "see you later", not goodbye.  A loving husband to Dolores Johnson who celebrated their 64th Anniversary, May 14, 2019.  A loving, teaching and fun dad to Sheila (Mike) and Leah (Walt). Grandpa to Julee and D Ona, Brandon and Ashley, and Vickie, Trevor and Dallas.   Great-grandpa to Gabriella and Zane, and Brynn and Emily. Uncle and friend to many. He joins his brother, Charles, and sister, Juanita and Frieda.

 

His family came first. He had good work ethics and worked hard to provide for his family, holding down several jobs. He helped anyone who needed help. He was an amazing handyman.

 

A Veteran of the Korean War, he was stationed in Japan.  He wore his Veteran's hat whenever he went out and was thrilled whenever anyone thanked him for his service.  He was the supervisor and retired from Addison Trail High School's ground keeping and building maintenance.  He owned Pleasure Cove Resort in Camdenton, Missouri from 1982 through 1996.

 

We will all miss him dearly, but know he is with us in spirit all the time.

 

Graveside Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Hedges Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri.
