Obituary of Nancy C. Majeske

Nancy C. Majeske, age 83, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Laurie Care Center in Laurie, Missouri.

Nancy was born May 23, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan.  She was the daughter of George and Mabel (Winters) Kurth.  Nancy had an older sister, Betty.  All through life, they were close and loved to dance.

Nancy married Jerry Ritchie and had three sons, Jerry, Randy, and Marty.  When she and Jerry split, he moved to California with the boys. She missed them terribly.  Randy passed away at a young age.   She met George Majeske while in her 30’s. They married and moved to Northern Michigan to be close to her parents.  They had many great years together there.   While on a visit to Missouri to visit her niece Debbie, they fell in love with the Lake of the Ozarks and on a second visit they bought a home on the lake and adopted a dog named Echo.  They had their little slice of Heaven on Earth at the lake, and she always wished her boys would move to Missouri.  But they were grown with families of their own in California.  

Nancy suffered a couple of strokes n 2007 and spent the remainder of her years at Laurie Care Center.  She seemed content there, and George and Echo visited every day until George passed in 2011.  She loved visits from her sons and niece.  She tried to make laughter a part of every day.  She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 24, 2019, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
