Obituary of Carrol J. Brewer

Carrol J. Brewer, age 86, of Waterloo, Illinois, departed this life Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Eldon, Missouri.

Carrol was born March 26, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of William and Lorine B. (Vrooman) Hartge.

On June 17, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri, Carrol was united in marriage to Earl Brewer, who preceded her in death November 10, 2004.   They had shared over 54 years together as husband and wife at the time of Earl’s passing.

Carrol worked for a printing business in the St. Louis area for many years before retiring to the Lake of the Ozarks.    Carrol was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing brain games and working on puzzles.   Carrol loved spending days outdoors fishing and golfing with Earl.

Carrol is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Duran of Columbia, Illinois; her grandchildren,  NicholleCarthron, Mandy Hartley, Edward Brewer and Erika Duran; nine great-grandchildren, Dominique, Christopher, Jordan, Brendan, Ryan, Ross, Lilly, Kaido, and De Shon; and six great-great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends.

Carrol was preceded in death by her parents William and Lorine Hartge; her husband, Earl; her brother, William Hartge; her sisters Ruth Munson, Bonnie Nottmeier; and her great-grandson, Abel Carthron.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 17, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 9:00-11:00 am prior to services at the church.

Interment will follow at Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Osage Beach, Missouri.
