Obituary of Marlene H. Mehl
Marlene H. Mehl, age 85, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Marlene was born June 18, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Quambusch) Jorgensen.
On October 14, 1974 in Osage Beach, Missouri, Marlene was united in marriage to Pete Mehl, who preceded her in death on September 22, 2012. Marlene and Pete enjoyed over 37 years together as husband and wife at the time of Pete’s death.
Marlene and Pete owned and operated several businesses through the years, including Niangua Excavating, Suburban Sanitation, and Ship Ahoy Resort. Marlene worked alongside Pete in the day to day operations of their businesses, managing the office and financial aspects. Prior to that, Marlene co-owned and operated Kon-Tiki Resort in Camdenton for over 10 years.
Marlene and Pete worked diligently at each of the businesses they owned, but thoroughly enjoyed escaping to their winter home in the Everglades of Florida, where they spent their days outdoors fishing and enjoying the warm sun.
