Obituary of David Wayne Rogers

David Wayne Rogers, age 66, of Camdenton Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 25th.

 

David was born March 23,1953 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Jay and Evelyn (Musick) Rogers.  He was a graduate of Camdenton High School in Camdenton, Missouri.  David enjoyed building and driving modified race cars and in later years he fulfilled his love of racing by watching NASCAR with friends.  He was an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his life cutting firewood, hunting, trapping, fishing and running trot lines.  David worked for Crowell Distributing and then spent many years as the Service Manager for Yacht Club Marina.  He was a loyal friend to many, a proud father, grandfather and partner.  David enjoyed his friends and spent many hours telling tales and entertaining with stories.   

 

Survivors include:  one daughter, Angela Humphreys and husband Michael of Ulman, Missouri, two sisters, Jayne Musser and husband Jimmy of Murray, Kentucky and Jeanne Renfro and husband Stephen of Sumter, South Carolina.  He is also survived by his best friend and life partner Lorey Alexander of Camdenton, Missouri, three granddaughters, two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lee Allen Rogers.

 

A celebration of David's life will be held at the VFW hall in Camdenton, Missouri on July 13th from 1 to 3 pm.
