Obituary of Patricia Ann Beneke

Patricia Ann “Pat” Beneke, age 70, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Pat was born August 23, 1948 in Willmar, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Robert and Beatrice (Hjelle) Mark. In 1966, Pat graduated from University High School in Spokane Valley, Washington.

On June 9, 1967 in Spokane, Washington, Pat was united in marriage to William M. “Bill” Beneke.  They recently celebrated 52 loving years together as husband and wife.

After graduating as class salutatorian with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Lincoln University, Pat worked as a Resource Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the US Department of Agriculture. After retiring to the Lake of the Ozarks, she enjoyed living the lake life.   She loved spending days outdoors boating on the lake and tending to her flower garden.  Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and travelling often.  Above all, family was the greatest joy of her life.

Pat was a wonderful wife, mother and caring grandmother who helped create many treasured memories for her family to cherish.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, William M. “Bill” Beneke; her sons Michael Beneke and wife, Christy, of Jefferson City, Missouri and Jeff Beneke and wife, Arla, of Peculiar, Missouri; three grandchildren, May, Jessie and Robert; and one brother, Glen Mark and wife, Teri Powers, of Portland, Oregon; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beatrice Mark.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at a future date.
