Rev. J Cox

J Wiley (J.W.) Cox, 83, of Lebanon, MO, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2019 in his home.

J.W. Cox was born in Selina, Louisiana to Elisha and Hazel Cox on July 22, 1936.  He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany and later Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. While stationed in Missouri he met the love of his life and married Imogene Sue Cox on June 14th, 1958.  He was a bus driver for the Lebanon School district for 28 years. He was a minister in both Olathe, KS and Lebanon, MO for fifty years. He served in the pastorate and also in his later years spent many days a week singing in nursing homes and churches with his wife.  

J.W. Cox is survived by his wife, Imogene Sue Cox of Lebanon, his son, Jimmie Wayne Cox of Clever, MO, his daughters, Teresa Sue Shelton, of Crocker, MO, Patricia Ann Gladden, of Claremore, OK, Kathy Lynn Gierlich, of Mount Pleasant WI, and Starlene Rose Simmonds, of Lebanon, MO. and also many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Life Point Church, 195 N Washington Ave, Lebanon, MO
 

He loved the Lord and was loved by all, especially his family and will forever be missed.
