Obituary of David Lynn Hinshaw
David Lynn Hinshaw, age 63, of Stoutland, Missouri, left his home on earth to join his heavenly father on Sunday, July 14, 2019, after battling a lengthy illness at his home in Stoutland, Missouri.
David was born October 5, 1955 in Lebanon, Missouri, the son of James and Gayle (Edward) Hinshaw.
David began his childhood in Plato, Missouri, and later he and his parents moved to a beautiful farm that was considered prime land in Camden County on Glaze Creek, in 1974 he and his family sold the farm and moved to Stoutland, Missouri. David attended school at Stoutland. In his young teen years he worked at the Ozark fisheries where he was featured in the National Geographic Magazine.
In 1975 David married the love of his life Annette Lytell, they started a family that included their son, James Edward Cornelison; daughters, Amelia Lynn and Amanda Marie.
He continued working at various jobs including H.D. Lee in Richland, golf resorts at Lake Ozark, Missouri and he and his dad owned and operated Bagnell Dam trail rides and also worked at Brackett Farms Supply in Richland. David and Annette bought a farm in 1980 where he enjoyed raising cattle and especially enjoyed raising and riding a good horse. His hobbies included hunting, fishing spending time with cousins. David was an avid collector of arrow heads, knives, guns and antique farming tools. David loved telling stories about times past, and knew a lot about history and had an amazing memory. David was a jokester, had a wonderful sense of humor and had the ability of making people laugh even in difficult times. He never knew a stranger, or becoming friends with all those who he met. He loved sharing times with his family and especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren.
David professed his faith in the Lord at a young age and discussed scripture with many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Annette, of Stoutland, Missouri, son, James Cornelison and wife Sonya of Richland, Missouri, daughters, Amelia Lynn and Amanda Marie both of Stoutland, Missouri, four beautiful granddaughters, Emilie, Emma Jo, Ella and Lauren, two sisters, Vicki and husband Jerry Neal, of Stoutland, Missouri, Janie and husband Troy Marshall of Sleeper, Missouri, nephews, Adam Henson and wife Katy, their daughters Molly and Aubrey of Richland, Missouri, Dylan Rupard, of Columbia, Missouri many friends special cousins and family.
David was preceded in death parents James (Buck) and Gayle Hinshaw, and beloved grandpa James Hinshaw Sr. He will be truly missed by those whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday July 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist in Sleeper, Missouri with Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Memorials may be given to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
