Obituary of Joyce Marie Branson Hawn

Heaven gained another angel on Monday morning, July 15, 2019. Joyce Marie Branson Hawn passed away, at the age of 73, peacefully at Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri. Born to Curtis and Edythe (Deer) Branson of February 6, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri.

She made numerous friends in her lifetime. She graduated from Hazelwood Central High School, near Florissant, Missouri, in 1964.

She was married Robert Leo Hawn in 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri until they separated in 2005.

Shortly after this union they moved to Lima, Ohio until 1979 when they moved to Washington Court House, Ohio. During this time she raised two daughters and a son, while she herself worked at Case Convalescent as a nurses assistant. After the children left to start adult lives they moved back to Missouri where she began work as the motel manager at Meramec Caverns in Stanton, Missouri.

After being married for 38 years she moved to South Carolina in 2005 and then returned to Missouri in 2010 until her passing.

She loved knitting, gardening, hiking and search puzzles. She was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Mizzou Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals and would watch them every opportunity she got.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Amy Ruth (Donnie Stewart) of Washington Court House, Ohio, Lisa Marie (Todd Vega) of Columbia, Missouri, a son Robert Charles Sr. (Natalie Miller) of Camdenton, Missouri,  a brother John Curtis (Sandy) of Troy, Missouri, a sister Janet (Steve Wind) of St. Charles, Missouri, her former husband Robert Leo Hawn of Laurie, Missouri and former daughter in law Traci. She is also survived by twelve grandkids, Heather Marie (Dick Johnson), Sara (Brandi Chick), Robert Charles Jr., Elizabeth Tina-Marie (Michael Tipton), Jennifer Lynn, Courtney (Brandon Curl), Tiffany (Aaron Buck), Ethan Alex (Jocce Parish), Max, Elizabeth, Shawn and Alex, six great grandchildren, Viola, Abram, Tessa, Braedan, Madelyn and Aryanna.

She is also survived by two nephews Dan and J.C., and three nieces Christy, Sandy and Kelli.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Edythe Branson and several aunts and uncles.
