Obituary of James Gordon Peters

James Gordon “Jim” Peters, age 64, of Stotts City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at his home in Stotts City.

Jim was born January 12, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island.  He was the son of Joseph Dutra and Jean Peters.  The family moved to Orange County, California when he was 7 years old, and he grew up and attended school there. He met Margaret Ramsey at a Halloween Party in 1980 while he was back in Rhode Island.  They moved to California in 1984 and married in April 1986.   He was a well- traveled tattoo artist by the time they settled in the Ozarks in 1994.

Jim is survived by his wife, Margaret; his sister Dee Schultze and husband, Lowell, and their two children, Jason and Christina, and their children; his brother, Joseph Dutra and wife, Rosemary, and their son, Joe.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019, from 4:00-5:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Osage Beach, Missouri.
