Obituary of Imogene Sue Cox

Imogene Sue (Jean) Cox, 77, of Lebanon, Missouri passed away peacefully in her home on July 21, 2019. 

Jean was born in Lebanon, Missouri to Arthur and Rosie Allen on December 25, 1941.  She married the love of her life, J.W. Cox on June 14, 1958 and spent 61 wonderful years together before leaving just 8 days apart.  She served the Lebanon School district as cook and head cook for many years. She also stood beside her husband in the pastorate in both Olathe, Kansas and Lebanon, Missouri for fifty years.  

Jean Cox is survived by her son, Jimmie Wayne Cox of Clever, Missouri, her daughters, Teresa Sue Shelton, of Crocker, Missouri, Patricia Ann Gladden, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Kathy Lynn Gierlich, of Mount Pleasant Wisconsin, and Starlene Rose Simmonds, of Lebanon, Missouri, and also many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Cox of Lebanon, Missouri.  

At their request, a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2:00 pm at Life Point Church, 195 N. Washington Ave in Lebanon.  

She was a faithful witness for Christ and an encouragement to all.  She loved and was loved, and will forever be missed.
