Obituary of William "Bill" Earl Forsythe

William “Bill” Earl Forsythe, age 74, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Bill was born September 24, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Ivan and Mildred (Brawner) Forsythe.

Bill worked as an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad for many years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and traveling to new places. Bill was a skilled handy man and loved tinkering with all sorts of things.  His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and visiting with friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Shirley of the home, his sons Pete Forsythe (Kerri) of Alton, Illinois, Scott Forsythe of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Todd Forsythe (Barb) of Jefferson City, Missouri, one daughter Kim Connell (Andy) of Alton, Illinois, one brother Carl Forsythe (Lorraine) of Villa Ridge, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Rosie, Zack, Haley, Casey and Chelsea, along with several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Mildred Forsythe.

Services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 4:00-5:00 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home.
