Obituary of Jimmy D. Goodwin

Jimmy D. Goodwin, age 77, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019 at the Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center after a short battle with cancer. 

 

Born August 26, 1941, Jimmy was a long-time resident of suburban Kansas City, Missouri.  He retired and enjoyed life in Laurie, Missouri at the Lake of the Ozarks after serving in the Navy as a young man and as an Aeronautics technician for TWA/American Airlines. Jimmy enjoyed coaching little league baseball and fishing, as well as computer electronics.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce K. (Plank), parents John and Alma Goodwin (Shields) and Brother Kenneth Goodwin.  He is survived by his children: daughter Susan Kennedy (Jim) and son David Goodwin (Melissa), and Brother Clark Goodwin.  He was Papa to grandchildren Jimmer, Nick, Meganne, Alec and Annabelle and a great grandfather to Myles. 

 

Funeral graveside services will be held Monday, August 19, 2019 at 11 am at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery in Lee’s Summit Missouri.
