Obituary of Kennie J. Duncan

Kennie J. Duncan, age 71, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at her home in Camdenton.

Kennie was born November 13, 1947 in Smithville, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth and Mecia (Bledsoe) Bartley.  She was united in marriage in January of 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Marshall Duncan, who preceded her in death November 9, 2011.

Kennie loved spending time outdoors tending to her flower gardens and arranging her flowers beautifully for all to enjoy.  She enjoyed working on craft projects and admired art in its many forms.  She loved watching birds, especially her humming birds, and welcomed their return every year.  Among all these, her greatest joy in life was her family, whom she loved dearly.

Kennie was a loving wife, and a caring mother and grandmother to her family and their children.  She created many beautiful memories for them to cherish for a lifetime.

Kennie is survived by her daughters, Sherry Wiggins of Warrior, Alabama, Patty Crouse of Gladstone, Missouri, and Wendy Poynter of Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Earl Bartley, of Kansas City, Missouri; and her sister Marie Pyke and husband, John, of Camdenton, Missouri;  along with a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Melia Bartley; her husband, Marshall Duncan; her brother, Jim Bartley; and her sister Marsha Rogers.
