Obituary of Harry Lee McAlpine

Harry Lee McAlpine was born August 6, 1952 in Sandusky, Michigan. He departed this life on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his home at the age of 67 years, surrounded by his loved ones.

On December 17th, Harry was united in marriage to Debbie LaPeer and together they shared 47 years of marriage. To this union one child was born.

Harry was preceded in death by his father Pete McAlpine, mother Rachel Caverly, sister Vicki Curtis, niece Stephanie Dewey and mother in law Barbara Creason.

He is survived by his wife Debbie McAlpine of Macks Creek, Missouri, his son Clayton McAlpine of Macks Creek, Missouri, grandsons Tyler Lee McAlpine and Trevor McAlpine of Sandusky, Michigan, sister in law Dawn Dewey of Cass City, Michigan, sisters Darleen (Bob) Walker of Kingston, Michigan, Linda Klimek of Snover, Michigan and Judy Sweet of Sandusky, Michigan, brothers Calvin (Kari) Caverly of Decker, Michigan and Ron (Ginny) Curtis of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Harry and Debbie have been so very blessed by their neighbors, family, friends and church family. Harry was kindhearted and never met a stranger.  He raced cars on a dirt track for 14 years. Harry enjoyed horses, fishing and hunting at “Harry’s Hotel.” He loved being in the outdoors and enjoying God’s creation. Harry and Debbie shared many memories of 2 stepping together on the dance floor. They traveled the entire Western United States in their “Honeymoon Palace” after retirement. Both Harry and Debbie have treasured seven special godly women who have supported and prayed for them throughout the years. Harry truly loved his entire family and today he is enjoying the beauty of heaven.

The family will welcome friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Macks Creek, Missouri. Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Edith, Missouri.
