Barbara Ashenbremer

Obituary of Barbara A. Ashenbremer

Barbara A. Ashenbremer of Linn Creek, Missouri passed away with her family by her side at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

She was born on September 19, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Floyd and Mildred Heckel and sister of Sonny Heckel.

Barb was an alumna of Incarnate Word Academy and Hickey School of Business. After graduation, Barb worked at Monsanto for 10 years as a secretary. She thought she was retiring, but instead took a job working for the retired President of Monsanto for a few more years.

Barb lived most of her life in St. Louis County and later moved to Lake of the Ozarks in 1992 for the life of retirement. Barb loved to bowl in her younger years and spent many nights at Wellston Bowl and Bowl Arama with her friends. She also loved to fish and would do so with family and friends whenever she could, sometimes out fishing her husband. Barb loved working in the yard. So much so that she got a job working at the Bronx Condo Complex maintaining their landscaping around the complex. Barb was an avid reader and has probably read every book in the Camdenton Library. She loved doing crossword puzzles and you better not talk to her before the newspaper puzzle was completed every morning. Barb passed the days away playing numerous hours of solitaire. She would not always win but played so many games she actually wore the numbers off the cards! Barb liked spending the winters in Florida as a way to keep warm from our frigid Missouri winters. It would really have to be hot to see Barb shed her 3 layers of clothing and her sweatshirt or jacket.

Barb was a loyal and faithful wife, mother, Mee Maw and friend to many. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger of Linn Creek, Missouri celebrating 58 years of marriage; her daughter Chris and son in law Randy Robinson; and two grandsons Roger and Cory of St. Charles, Missouri.

We will miss you Barbara, Barb, Mom, Mee Maw-----May you rest in peace until we meet again! Love you!!!
