Obituary of Randall Paul Driver
Randall Paul "Randy" Driver, age 63, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his home in Osage Beach.
Randy was born November 25, 1955 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Roy and Betty (Keller) Driver.
On August 5, 1978 in Springfield, Missouri, Randy was married to Cynthia Herrick and together they shared 42 years.
Randy grew up in Springfield, Missouri and graduated from Parkview High School in 1973. He graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing in 1975 and from Missouri State University in 1976 with a degree in Life Sciences. He then went on to graduate from Anesthesia school in 1981 and worked in medicine for 14 years. Randy later earned his Master's Degree in Education from The University of Missouri – Columbia. He taught science at Camdenton High School for the past 9 years, where his love of science and teaching was evident. He cared very much for his students, and always looked for ways to spark a love of lifelong learning in his school “kids,” his daughters, and grandchildren. Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors working in his yard or watching the various species of birds that frequented the area. He enjoyed golfing and loved his cat "Dottie,” who always helped him grade papers.
More than anything, Randy loved his family, especially his wife, daughters and grandchildren whom he adored.
Randy was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring teacher, neighbor and friend to all who knew and loved him. His family will forever cherish his memory and carry him always in their hearts.
Randy is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his daughters, Sarah Hugo and husband, Zachary, and Jennifer Wilson, all of Overland Park, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Josephine Wilson, Greyson Hugo, and Cooper Hugo. He is also survived by his father, Roy Driver, of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Driver.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 8, 2019 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11:30--1:00 prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Camdenton High School Science Department and may be left at the funeral home, checks payable to “Camdenton R-III Schools.”
