Judith Law

Obituary of Judith Ann Law

Judith Ann Ashworth Law was born on August 14, 1934 in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ray Ashworth and Mabel (Billie) Searl Ashworth and sister of Patricia Brencic.

Judy met her husband, George Law, while a Christian Education student at Bob Jones University in South Carolina.  After George met Judy for the first time, George told his roommates, “I met the girl I’m going to marry!”  Today George says, “I couldn’t have had a better wife! God has allowed us to enjoy a great marriage. We’ve been blessed with 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren!”

Judy and George served in ministry in Georgia, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan.  Judy was a Pastor’s wife, Christian Education director, and ACE Christian School Director. Judy set a great example for her children: her love for God and His Word, seeking out the lonely and people who needed friendship, her love of learning, reading historical books, camping, researching genealogy and traveling to historical places.

Judy acknowledged her need for Jesus as Savior at age 17 and joyfully followed Him the rest of her life.  She wanted to be a witness of God’s great love and mercy to everyone she met and did this by befriending many. Her desire was for everyone to humbly receive the Father God’s provision of His only Son, Jesus, as the greatest gift imaginable, providing the only way to have a relationship with the Creator of the Universe.  (Jesus said, “I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by me.”  John 14:6)

Judy is survived by her husband, Rev. George Law, her children: Ruth Arthurs, Rachel Diann Barnes, George R. Law, Dr. Pauline Abbott and Daniel Law and many children and grandchildren located in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Arizona and Hawaii.

All who have known Judy will truly miss her warm personality, kind spirit, caring servant attitude, and loving heart shown to her family and friends.
