Obituary of Kourtney L.(Doss) Torres

Kourtney L.(Doss) Torres, age 29, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Lake Ozark.

Kourtney was born March 10, 1990 in Austin, Texas.  She was the daughter of Leonard Doss and Kristine Jones. 

Kourtney eloped with Anand Torres to Eureka Springs, Arkansas on July 17, 2017.

After graduating from Camdenton High School, Kourtney earned her nursing degree from San Antonio School of Nursing.   She worked as a Registered Nurse with MU Healthcare in Columbia, Missouri and Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.  Kourtney was also a cheerleading coach for School of the Osage Lower Elementary and was loved by her students.  You could always find her on the sidelines cheering for all of their children’s sporting events.  Kourtney was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved watching the games with family and friends.   More than anything, Kourtney loved being a mom. She graciously accepted Anand along with his children, Elly and Andre to her and Landon’s lives. She loved her family & community so very much.

Kourtney is survived by her son Landon Lyman; her parents Leonard Doss of San Antonio, Texas and mother Kristine Benecke of Osage Beach, Missouri; her step-dad Donald Benecke of Osage Beach, Missouri; her sister Kayte Benecke of Osage Beach, Missouri; and her paternal grandfather Frank Doss of Chesterfield, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her brother Justin Doss; and her maternal grandparents, Dal and Mollie Jones.  Also deceased is her husband, Anand Torres.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 17, 2019, from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Regalia Hotel and Conference Center in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Landon Lyman Education Fund c/o Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks.
